Blackbourne Tree Group

We are grateful to our group of volunteers who started and work on our Tree Group project, which began in 2008, with the advice of the Green Light Trust.
We are fortunate to have the use of 1 ½ acres of land beside the Blackbourne River in Honington owned by the Euston Estate. We have planted several species of trees with funding from the Trust and the Parish Council and the area is now tidy and accessible to all.

Blackbourne Tree Group Voluteers

Blackbourne Tree Group volunteers with Lady Henrietta.
In the last two years we have extended the paths along the sewage works through a new bit of wood from the Charity Land to the allotments. We have planted trees along this , some of the oaks were planted in a nursery bed in Honington School by the children, who have also enjoyed projects in the wood.
This year we have planted a wild flower garden which was a blaze of colour. We welcome new members and help on our work days.
